The Shaw Tower, located in Vancouver's Coal Harbour district of the downtown waterfront, consists of 24 floors of luxury live/work condominiums, situated on top of a 16 storey, 298,000 square foot office tower. Several of the 130 residential units have been significantly customized and incorporate state of the art security, communication and control systems.

The building's anchor tenant, Shaw Communications, occupies 7 floors. One of the tallest buildings in Vancouver, the building incorporates amenities such as a fitness centre, daycare and 5 levels of underground parking with separate entrances for Shaw, the residential units, and public areas of the building.

The office building incorporates a building automation control system which controls mechanical equipment as well as lighting systems.

In addition to the emergency generator for life safety, Shaw Communications have installed 2 -1000 Kwatt generators and a UPS system to provide stand-by power for their data centre and cable services.
