Summary:
In the fall of 2007 Bridge Electric Corp. was selected by Ledcor Construction Company as the electrical contractor for The Wesbrook project. Located on the edge of 700 hectares of unspoiled natural forest, in a new sustainable community at UBC campus, The Wesbrook was built using “green” construction practices and infrastructure.
The Wesbrook is 17 storeys of sophistication and luxury with the largest floor plans on campus; 1,640 to 2,400 square feet.
The Webrook was built under the guidelines of the UBC’s Residential Environmental Assessment Program (REAP) – a green building strategy modeled after the international LEED standard, but specifically suited to residential construction in a west coast environment. The Wesbrook is the first UBC high-rise to achieve a Silver REAP environmental building standard.
Features include high-performance heating and cooling systems, Low E-coated glass windows, and large wraparound balconies that shade the residences from direct sunlight in summer.
This completed project is another outstanding example of Bridge Electric's commitment to delivering a high quality project ON TIME.
